Holidays in Ibiza

Ibiza attracts many young visitors who come to check out the progressive club life. There is much fun to be had for the young and free. However, to say it is only for young people and those with fewer responsibilities is definitely not true. There are beaches away from the clamorous part of Ibiza where families and older folk go every year. Ibiza is the third largest island in the Balearics, there are eighty beaches scattered over many resorts.

Depending on the personality of the resort, it will attract different visitors and there still is authentic evidence of traditional white washed houses. Ibiza enjoys temperatures that rarely fall below 15ºC and rise to a sizzling 26-30 ºC during the peak season. The sun lasts longer and the rain rarely falls. Ibiza takes the safety of its beaches seriously; most of the coastline has been awarded the prestigious blue flag which is awarded for cleanliness and environmentally friendliness. It also has many websites that have many recommendations to ensure your holiday is as trouble free as possible.

The coast, coves and beaches offer many water sports to be had. Sailing has moorings for over 2500 vessels. Water skiing, jet skiing, windsurfing, parasailing are excellent ways to enjoy the moderate winds that encircle the island. Or you can stay closer to the water in a fun ride on a pedalo or banana boat. Or why not explore below the surface, enjoy the seabed and its coral attire; scuba diving. Drier and more on land, there is a karting circuit, horse riding stables and mountain biking areas for total enjoyment.

If you have children or like to take part in rides yourself then there is the Water Park at Aguamar, which caters for all. There is also a sling shot ride - get ready to hold on! There is also the opportunity to go bowling and golf courses set in serene surroundings, maybe just the thing after a tumultuous day out. There are many places to dine in Ibiza and these can vary from the takeout to the eat-in. From burger and chips to haute cuisine. The taste of the area can differ from traditional Spanish to cosmopolitan international dishes of global renown.

To get you from your arrival at the airport to your hotel or holiday home, there are taxis and an efficient shuttle service. You can also hire a car which is a great flexible option ideal for getting you to most places around the island quickly. These can be pre-booked at the same time as buying your flight tickets.
