Ibiza Island is situated near the Iberian Peninsula in Spain, in the Mediterranean Sea. There are two pine islands; one is Ibiza itself and the other being Formentara and the Ibiza Town is the largest city. There are two other important cities, the Santa Eularia des Riu and Sant Antoni de Portmany. The island is visited by throngs of tourists each year, and most of them come to enjoy a quiet yet fulfilling vacation, under the warm sun and to enjoy the pleasant weather. It is also a favourite destination for honeymooners, because of the romantic appeal of the island.
Transport: since it is an island, the fastest and the easiest way to come in to the city is through the Ibiza Airport. Cruise ships also stop here on the way and the passengers often get down exploring the island.
Sight- Seeing: The Island has large portions of it registered as World Heritage Sites. Then there is another monument to which had been erected in honour of Christopher Columbus and it is known as The Egg. Due to this reason, the island has not undergone any major commercialization, resulting in the fact that most of the places on the island have remained untouched by the city life and the natural beauty of the place is breath taking. The main areas of enjoyment are the night clubs in Ibiza Town, which are open late into the night. Amnesia, Space, Pacha and Privilege are some of the well known night clubs of the island.
Food and Restaurant: The Island has some quaint, unique restaurants which serve delicious food. The La Oliva has a cosy setting and serves French and other international cuisine. Nanking is for those who love to enjoy authentic Chinese food in real Chinese setting. Can Den Parra is open from May to October, and especially honeymooners gather here because of its romantic décor. El Faro is a terrace restaurant, which serves mouth-watering sea food, which you can enjoy with the panoramic view of the sea.
Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands and yet it is probably the most important in terms of economic development and tourism.
