Ibiza is a popular place for stag and hen weekends (or weeks!) and due to the size of groups involved (usually 8 plus) organising accommodation can be a challenge, especially in July and August. "I came to Ibiza for my stag weekend a few years back and had the challenge of finding a villa for 20 people, near to Ibiza Town, for a long weekend, on a budget! Finding a villa for a long weekend let alone on a budget around Ibiza Town is a challenge to say the least. I started by looking on private villa rental websites although I was struggling with choice against my requirements. I found a site that not only gave me villa owner contact details but gave me much more in depth information about the island including beach guides. I contacted suitable villa owners however with it being the opening parties most were not willing to rent their villas for short periods of time. Eventually I found a villa owner who would, and the place was incredible! Located up in an exclusive Urbanisation called Can Furnet it had a pool and views over to Ibiza Town and the sea. I managed to book the villa for 5 nights for £20 / person / night. The day after we left they rented the villa for £10,000 / week for the rest of the summer."
Deciding on whether you want a hotel or self catering accommodation in Ibiza often depends on how long you want to stay as it is much easier to book a hotel for shorter stays. You can often get rooms and balconies next to each other so you can maintain the group feel. This is often why people want to rent an apartment or villa. Again staying in June or September are the cheapest summer months to stay in Ibiza so bear this in mind when deciding on budgets.
A key consideration when renting a holiday villa in Ibiza is the need for transport. You will either need to hire cars or arrange transfers as most villas are outside of towns and resorts. People don't often want to worry about driving, especially on a Stag or Hen party in Ibiza! However if you do have people in your group that are willing to drive it will be the cheaper option. Transfers can be expensive if you want to go to beaches and restaurants, back to the villa to get ready, then to and from a club. This is often why people opt for apartments if they are only staying for a short period. You will find plenty of companies offering transfers in Ibiza so look into this before deciding.

Privilege Nightclub in Ibiza - Is it the Best?
If you have heard of Ibiza and Formentera it is probably because of their great combination of nightclubs and beautiful beaches. Most holiday makers go wild in hedonistic Ibiza and then head over to Savina Formentera to chill out.
The club scene on Ibiza has places like Privilege, which has been recorded as the world's largest nightclub by the Guiness Book of Records. The roof is 25 meters high and there is even a swimming pool in the central area. Some of Las Vegas's nightclubs are pretty spectacular, but Privilege holds its ground. Some of the clubs in town have been around longer than others, and Es Paradis is one of the most well established having been set up in 1975. It has kept up with the latest trends, and has a boutique, terrace, ten bars and manages to attract top talent such as Danny Rampling. There are four separate areas in the club: Prive Divine, la Galeria, Paradis, and the Main Room. The Fiesta del Agua, is the island's most hedonist water party. If you have daughters, don't let them go!

Ibiza can be an expensive island to visit. All the restaurants, bars and salesmen are trying to part you with as much of your money as possible. After all, the peak summer season only lasts for a few months, and the money derived from tourist are supposed to help them until next year.
Here are my top three tips on how to save money when visiting Ibiza.
1. Cheap hotel Book your stay at an unattractive and old 1970s style apartment hotel in Playa Bossa or Figueretes. The hotels in this area is not modern, neither stylish. But, the hotel rooms are sold at discount prices to attract guests. When you stay at these hotels you are a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Ibiza Town. Prices are €30-40 per room per night in the low season, double in peak season.
2. Use your beach towel Do not hire sunbeds at the beach every day, €5 a each day for a sunbed accumulate to €70 for a 14 day stay. Use your beach towel or enjoy life at the hotel pool.
3. Great supermarket food If you go to the beach you can pick up some high quality Spanish Serrano ham, cheese, baguettes and a few beers at one of the many supermarkets. Eat them at the beach instead of paying for lunch or dinner at fancy restaurants and cafes.

Ibiza has many nudist and gay friendly beaches making it a very cosmopolitan place to visit. Notable beaches are Es Cavallet and Los Molinos (Figueretas) on the south east side of the island.
For those who have more than a few days on, the island then Formentera is definitely worth a visit as they have Europe's finest beaches. The majority of beaches fly the covered Blue Flag which highlights the cleanliness of the crystal clear blue water. There are good windsurfing and catamaran centres on Es Pujols and Migjorn beach for those who want some activity.
For people looking for cool places to hang out with music and nice loungers there are a number of beach clubs that offer a very nice beach experience. New this year is Amante (formally Sol den serra) down a dirt track near Cala Llonga, check out the breakfast yoga club. There is the Delano and Ashuaia in Playa Den Bossa bringing a new lease of live to the stretch of beach opposite space. Added to this you have the old favourites of Sa Trinxa at Salinas and Blue Marlin at Cala Jondal. Beach life has never been this good in Ibiza!
